Our Team
Rosie Maunder
Director & Clinical Psychologist
As the daughter of two teachers who said they'd disown me if I became a teacher, I understand how challenging the education system is. I am passionate about understanding the individual learning needs of every child. I believe the only way to achieve the best outcomes for a student is for everyone on their team to be on the same page. I feel privileged to be trusted to advocate for them and to unify all members of a student’s team.
I particularly love sharing my knowledge and training others: parents, educators, allied health professionals, and employers! Put me in front of a captive audience, and I am in my element!

Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Lead
Assessments are my thing – I love kids, and I love a challenge. I prioritise building rapport with the child and family, ensuring that everyone feels “heard”, and engaging with the child through their interests and strengths, to gather all the pieces to solve any complex diagnostic picture. I strive to equip the family with an understanding of how their child’s brain functions and their inner “superpowers”.
I am a strong believer that knowledge is power. With over 15 years of experience, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of neurodiversity within the broader community, including the importance of accepting differences. Greater understanding amongst health professionals, education staff and families builds an informed and supportive environment that allows children to be their best selves.

I'm passionate about making neurodevelopmental assessments fun and engaging. I want children to walk away from an assessment experience with a confident smile. I want parents and teachers to feel like their child or student has been understood and valued. I aim to equip families and schools with advice and recommendations that are uniquely tailored to each child, and are both understandable and achievable.
I'm warm, fun, and flexible in my approach and love helping others understand how their brain works. I want to help highlight unique strengths and find practical supports and adjustments for difficulties.

Dr Kimberley Brindle
Educational and Developmental Psychologist
My passion is autism assessments and neurodiversity. I have worked with people of all ages through their diagnostic and therapeutic journey over the past 10 years. My assessments are fun, neuroaffirming, and embrace individuality! I love creating a safe space for the person’s story, experiences and working closely with families to gain a complete understanding of their child. I provide tailored recommendations that foster uniqueness, increase wellbeing and support the young person to reach their learning potential.
I am involved in broader projects that promote neurodiversity within the community and I lecture at UTAS in the postgraduate program about psychological assessment. I have a deep love of the natural world, creative projects and I have a legendary dog who comes on all my adventures.

I honestly don’t like the word assessment as it can raise unnecessary anxiety and stress for all involved. I’d prefer to define my role as ‘finding out more about an individual to help them flourish’. My aim is to provide a clearer picture of an individual, finding out their strengths and areas of need, identify how they learn best, and ultimately how we can support them in their educational journey. Every child is unique, and I am passionate about ensuring that each child has an equal opportunity to develop and grow.
I love working collaboratively to create fabulous outcomes for our children.

My goal in assessment is to help young people feel at ease so that they can be well engaged, perform at their best, feel confident, and have some fun along the way! It is a privilege to help young people gain a deeper understanding of themselves, how they learn, their unique skills, and how they are similar (and different) to others.Young people have valuable perspectives, experiences, and interests to share, and I love learning from each of them. I am dedicated to consulting with a young person’s “team”, which may include their family, school, and other support people, so that we are all working toward the same goal – the young person’s success. I think the recipe for meaningful assessment is collaboration, curiosity, and careful clinical consideration.
I am personable, fun, innovative, and flexible in my approach to assessment.

For me, assessment is about building an individuals' self-awareness and empowering them and their networks to figure out the best way forward. I'm extremely passionate about collaborating with individuals and their supports to create consistent and personalised strategies for their areas of need by drawing on their strengths. I believe individuals all have the capacity to learn, it's our job to figure out how their brain learns best.
Empowerment is my main goal as a psychologist. Each person is entirely unique, and my aim is to guide those who walk through my door to thrive in their uniqueness.

I value the uniqueness of each and every person, including both their areas of difficulties and areas of strength. This principle guides my assessment approach, which is based on kindness, respect, and sincerity. I am neuroaffirming in my approach, informed by my lived experience. My goal in assessments is to be thorough and comprehensive, while also making the experience fun and enjoyable.
I have over 10 years of experience as a psychologist working with children, teens, and families. More recently, I chose to further build my knowledge in this area and I completed my masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology.

After joining Rosie Psychology for my final placement earlier this year, I am so excited to be joining the team. I have discovered a passion for assessments and understanding how children function and learn, and the importance of this deep understanding so families and schools can support them along their journey.
I love engaging with kids during session and collaborating with them, their families, and other relevant people in their life. I aim to provide the best quality of care and information that I can.

I'm the one who keeps this passionate and dedicated group in line! I am also the person you'll chat to when you call us to discuss your child's assessment needs. As a mother of two and former primary school teacher, I understand the importance of your child being seen as an individual, you being heard as a parent or carer. I also really enjoy working with teachers and other professionals to arrange training sessions with our psychologists that will enable them to build upon their understanding of the many complex issues affecting children today.
When I'm not running air-traffic control at the practice, you'll find me planning travel adventures with my family, in the garden, or failing obedience class with my Groodle puppy.

As a teacher with over 25 years of experience, I bring valuable insight into the pathways that parents, teachers and students engage in before the assessment phase. I’m passionate about neurodiversity and ensuring all students have the best opportunities to learn and thrive inside and outside the classroom. I’m now sidestepping from teaching into psychology. I hope to follow in the footsteps of the fantastic team at Rosie Psychology to become a clinical psychologist administering assessments in the future.
Aside from work and study, I love to travel, cook and hang with my husband and two incredibly spoiled sausage dogs.
