In some cases, we need to spend more time assessing you or your child or adolescent than we originally quoted.
Examples of this include:
- Through the course of an autism assessment we may need to complete a school observation to gather more information before we can provide you with an answer.
- If we complete an educational assessment and recommend your child or adolescent completes targeted intervention prior to reassessment, we will charge your reassessment at an hourly rate, rather than an assessment package fee.
Our per-session rate is $250 per hour
If we need to travel to assess you or your child, such as to our outreach clinics or to a school to assess or observe your child, we will need to charge travel.
- Travel is charged at $85 per half hour (+GST, where applicable) from our closest permanent location (Lindisfarne or Kingston)
- If you are assessed at an outreach clinic you only pay for a portion of the total travel (i.e., we split the travel costs across all assessments and is typically around $300+GST, where applicable)
If you are not sure whether your child requires an assessment we are happy to discuss your concerns with you. This is a completely optional and stand-alone session which will be booked with our director or one of our senior psychologists.
If you decide to proceed with an assessment you will still be required to complete an intake appointment. Please note, your assessment may be booked with a different psychologist.
Your place on the waitlist will remain unchanged.
- $300 for a 50 minute appointment.
